​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience and junjung ziarah the country's intending haj pilgrims. The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman, 1st May afternoon.

Also in attendance was His Majesty's son, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

His Majesty received in audience and junjung ziarah from 992 intending haj pilgrims comprising 472 male and 520 female intending haj pilgrims. The number included officers from Brunei Darussalam Haj Management Office for Administration and Medical as well as officers from the Haj Package Service Operators.

The intending haj pilgrims will leave for Madinah on four separate flights, which are on the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th of May.

The intending haj pilgrims need to be well-prepared in various aspects before departing for the holy land.
